former Cronulla surf club competitor. Has World and
National Surf Ski Championships under his belt and loves
big surf. Also suffers from compulsive Adrenalin sports.

Stampede to a 2nd in PHS division Sydney to Gold Coast,
and clean sweep in the Port Hacking to Batemans Bay Race

her young age.

Rob Francis - Franko (2)
Mast, steer
Rob has been been sailing
for about 8 years and was recently nominated as the
most "obnoxious" crew member for offshore racing. He
is hoping to win this prestigious award for the 2009
Sydney Hobart after loosing it 3 times previously.
He is sailing with his wife
for the first time this year and will be relying on
her heavily during the rough times as he is prone to
bouts of sea sickness. They both recently competed
in the Gosford to Lord Howe Island race with a 4th
place result.
Corinne Feldmann
Bow and Pit
Corinne has been sailing for 10 years and enjoys the longs offshore races. She takes immense comfort in knowing that never will the sides of the boat be graced with todays or yesterdays lunch from her inner pit. A keen helsmwoman who never takes a step backward in massive seas, one hand on her heart and one on the tiller to steer the boat across the waves. Many ocean going vessels have sought to utilise her expert nautical knowledge and offered huge sums of money to get her on board, but she tends to prefer sailing with her club mates from Cronulla and on her yacht Stampede.

Roger Varley
Trim and Mast / Assist Bow and Cook due to stong guts
Roger is 56 years of age and as such is probably the
old man of the crew. He has sailed for many years
and is the ex owner of The Syndicate and has also
sailed successfully on Yebisu,Stampede and now
Colortile. This will be his first Hobart and he is
hoping to perfom up to the standard of the rest of
the crew and do his best for Bucko, Kristy &
Colortile. Roger has six wonderful children, Amanda,
Claire, Rebecca, Melissa, Rhys and Renee and he is
extremely proud of all of them. He has a close
friendship with Kristy & Bucko and has claimed them
as his ma & pa "because they look after me". Roger
is an ex mechanic, coalminer and now runs a sub
contract with Sita Environmental Solutions. Yes he's
a garbo. When Roger gets to Hobart he wants to have
1 or 2 or 20 beers in memory of our old mate Johnny
Gettens.
